Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Romans 6:16
When the eye is single, the whole body is full of light… When I come upon Him, with nothing else to gain, I stand forever in His Glory.
His is the one I am after; He is the one I adore. There is no other, there is no better, there is none greater.
For all else in the heavens are as nothing, and all else upon the Earth are dust.
Where is the secret of your presence, that I might come, and abide, and stay.
There in that place I remain, in the faithfulness of your house I am established.
But I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with its mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
Psalm 131:2
But, I submit my soul to you, Lord, and only you.
Show me the path to life. Show me the way into only you.
For, if I regard any other, I am ashamed. If I have space for any other name, I am put low.
But, in you I have put my trust, and my whole heart rejoices in your light.
With all my heart I have sought you, and searched for you in the watches of the night.
For you have been my help, and ever will make me strong. You lighten my darkness, and make all my ways straight.
For I submit myself fully to you, in body, and soul, and mind and spirit. All my heart lies open before you. For, to you alone, do I lift up my soul.
In your counsel, and in your house, are light and righteousness and truth. All your ways are just and pure. For you have seen me in my weakness, you have made me great. It is always your hand that guides me.
Let me look upon you, and renew my spirit. Let me glance upon you, and have my courage renewed. For, if I but catch a glimpse of your glory, I am changed from day to day, and I am renewed in the likeness of you.
For in your light is the fullness of creation, and in your truth I find life. With you all the day is my every desiring, and all my pleasure is within.
Set my heart to your testimonies, and not to vain wonderings. Set my gaze upon you alone, and give me strength to fight the adversary. For with your help, I can scale a wall, and by your arm, I will never fail.
You alone, Lord, set my feet aright. You alone, Lord Jesus, are my light burning bright.
There is none by you, Lord Jesus, whereby I might be saved, for salvation itself is yours.
Lead me by a straight way, and guide me, lest I falter. Let me never lose sight of your faithfulness, or your justice, or your truth.
I wait for you, Lord, though my soul langusihes. I yearn for you, though inwardly I groan after your courts.
Let me glimpse of your Eternal goodness, that I might find rest, and peace.
For your Spirit is life to me, and all I desire is to seek your face.
Give me life, that I might live, and glorify your name.
Give me strength, that I might rise again.
Give me hope, that I might be un-discouragable.
Give me joy, that I might be free.
I submit my life to no other, Lord. Like a city with solid walls, you rule over my Spirit as a King. Guard my ways, Oh, Lord, and keep me back from errors. Guide my feet, Lord Jesus, that I might always walk in your truths. Let me never stumble, that I might bring much glory to your name.
